With the assistance of the project management firm, Regional Consulting &amp; Management SA, Tektum Arhitectur\u0103 &amp; Art\u0103 SRL for design, and technical support from Ostentum SRL, the project \u201cRestoration of the Gil\u0103u Castle and its related exterior arrangements\u201d was implemented. European funds were obtained through the Operational Program for Regional Development 2014 \u2013 2020, Priority Axis 5 \u2013 Improvement of the urban environment and sustainable conservation, protection, and valorization of cultural heritage, Investment Priority 5.1 \u2013 Conservation, protection, promotion, and development of natural and cultural heritage. On November 20, 2017, financing contract No. 659 was signed with the Ministry of Regional Development, Public Administration, and European Funds (current name: Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration) as the Managing Authority and the North-West Regional Development Agency as the Intermediate Body. On October 31, 2019, following a competitive procurement procedure, the rehabilitation works contract was signed with the Association Addconcept SRL (leader) and Kvadrum Axis SRL (associate). The works commenced on December 2, 2019. The project\u2019s completion deadline is December 31, 2023.<\/p><p>Project Title: Restoration of the Gil\u0103u Castle and its related exterior arrangements. Beneficiary\u2019s Name: Erd\u00e9lyi Hagyom\u00e1nyok Alap\u00edtv\u00e1ny \u2013 Transylvanian Traditions Foundation Project Objective: To enhance the tourist attractiveness of the Wass-Banffy (Barcsay) Castle in Gil\u0103u by leveraging its potential following the restoration of the castle property. The project implementation anticipates an average annual increase of 6% in the number of visitors to the Gil\u0103u Castle. Specific Objectives:<\/p><p>Valorization by restoring functionality to the Wass-Banffy Castle in Gil\u0103u, Cluj County, to fully integrate the castle into the tourist circuit.<\/p><p>Improve accessibility of the Wass-Banffy Castle in Gil\u0103u among all categories of tourists.<\/p><p>Promote the project and tourist offerings of Erd\u00e9lyi Hagyom\u00e1nyok Alap\u00edtv\u00e1ny \u2013 Transylvanian Traditions Foundation.
